It’s the sequel to one of the finest Star Wars games ever released, and while it doesn’t quite live up to the greatness of the original KOTOR, it’s still a massive, engaging, and engrossing RPG set in a galaxy far, far away that lets you become a Jedi or a Sith.Īnd of course, one of the most important parts of your journey to becoming a warrior of the light side or dark side of the force is getting your Kotor 2 lightsaber. The only builds that get more use out of dual-wielded sabres are consulars (who can use the extra slots for more +WIS crystals or more defense) and Critical Strike oriented builds which make use of the regular sabres' wider threat range.Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords has just landed on mobile. Dual-wielded weapons get only 1,5x total bonus (1x main hand + 0,5x off-hand). Dual wielding makes you use your second-best set of crystals on the off-hand and uses 2x as many components for upgrades.ĭouble-bladed weapons get 2x(STR modifier) added to their damage (1,5x for the main hand + 0,5x for the off-hand). Probably pair that with a Consular and their feat line with some stunning powers.įor melee classes, double-bladed lightsabres beat two lightsabres in raw damage output.ĭouble-bladed weapons have a higher base damage, which is applied to both hands: double-bladeds deal 2d12, compared to the regulars' 2d10.ĭouble-bladed weapons get the balanced off-hand bonus without a damage penalty, so they have a better hit bonus than dual-wielded "unbalanced" weapons.ĭamage upgrades on a double-bladed weapon apply to both hands, so you can use your best pair of crystals and a single set of workbench upgrades to maximize your damage. Though, a fun build might go for a keen crystal, increasing your critical hit range and go with Critical Strike for attacks. Strength still beats out this build damage wise, but at 20-ish levels you'll be dealing high enough damage to kill things in one round regardless. A high Dex build with finesse feats and modding in Handmaiden for female exiles to get the Wis bonus to defense, and not only will you hit like a truck with high damage sabers, you won't get hit yourself or extremely rarely.

Build more for straight damage than anything else, because hitting things just gets trivial with level ups. Strength builds are king in the first game.Īs for the second game, I love me a Blue/Cyan and Silver saber pair. Colors don't matter to me in the first game, the end game crystals are the best in the game. Granted, this is a min/max view, and there are definitely stylistic and RP reasons to go with the classic single blade look or the cool as hell double bladed aesthetic. Even a caster class should wield two to get the best benefits.
